Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2 OR in a position at G-16 or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a position approved for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.
Preferred Qualifications: The incumbent should have superb interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well using both written and oral communication. They should possess a solid analytical, technical, and problem-solving skill set, and be able to prioritize and multitask efficiently. The incumbent must exhibit an ability to work as part of a team.

Duties Description Within the Public Safety Cluster Customer Contact Center, the Information Technology Specialist 2 will be required to triage, resolve, and escalate questions or problems of both internal and external customers with issues affecting the availability of systems such as the eJusticeNY Integrated Justice Portal, Safe Act, and Statewide Automated Biometric Information System (SABIS). The incumbent will address incidents for both internal and external customers, using multiple communication technologies, such as phone, email, and instant messaging. The incumbent will also be responsible for recording customer interactions in ITSM for subsequent reporting, escalation to designated resolver groups, and periodically following up on incidents to ensure continuity of customer service.
Additional Comments The position is multiple shifts, and could be any shift required to support 24x7 operation. Some positions may require fingerprinting.
