Salary RangeFrom $42555 to $51830 Annually
Minimum Qualifications NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as an Administrative Aide (G13) OR NYS employee with one year or more permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title at or above a G11 and eligible for 70.1 transfer under NYS Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate would have experience with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Duties Description The Administrative Aide will work in the Centers Unit of the Bureau of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). CACFP is a federally funded program which provides nutrition education and reimbursement to children in family day care homes, day care centers, emergency shelters, afterschool programs and adults in day care. The Administrative Aide will provide assistance to the Public Health Nutritionists by doing preliminary and follow up work on program reviews. The Administrative Aide audits documents that are required to be maintained by participating organizations and helps maintain the system to track program reviews and corrective action plans. The Administrative Aide will be responsible for organizing and reviewing applications and documents submitted by the largest participating organization and will determine area eligibility in preparation for approval. This position may supervise support staff.
Additional Comments Permanent, full-time. Occasional travel may be required.
