Duties Description The Test Administration Unit interacts with staff of both the Testing and Staffing Services Divisions; Test Center Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, and monitors who administer State written and performance tests across the State; candidates; building managers for test sites; and members of the public to ensure State civil service tests are administered as planned.
The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising and guiding unit clerical staff, for ensuring that test arrangements are completed on time and accurately, and for communicating with a variety of individuals and officials regarding test arrangements. The incumbent would have the following duties:
• Assign candidates to test centers
• Check admission notices for accuracy
• Communicate with Test Center Supervisors on test arrangements issues
• Follow up on Special Accommodations and Alternate Test Date arrangements
• Review test arrangement reports and take steps to implement arrangements planned
• Check and amend shipping reports as needed
• Respond to calls from candidates regarding test arrangements, alternate test dates and other test administration issues
• Review and process a variety of written and oral requests and provide narrative and data reports as requested
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of a variety of reports
• Process monitor payroll vouchers
• Assist staff in responding to candidate questions
• Supervise unit clerical staff
