Minimum Qualifications NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as an Agency Program Aide (G13) OR NYS employee with one year or more permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title at or above a G11 and eligible for 70.1 transfer under NYS Civil Service Law.

Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a demanding environment.

Duties Description The Agency Program Aide will be assigned to the Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI), Division of Nutrition (DON), reporting to a Supervising Investigator. The incumbent will assist with investigations for BSI and will provide administrative support to BSI staff charged with investigating WIC vendors within NYS. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting Pre-Hearing Vendor Conferences, via telephone, as well as administering communications with WIC vendors by preparing and keeping track of correspondence and deadlines. Duties may also include conducting desk audits. Desk audits include auditing receipts and invoices of purchased WIC approved formula against WIC redemptions for a specified time period. If the vendor cannot substantiate their WIC sales, referral for a field audit will be made.
