Salary RangeFrom $67703 to $85635 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Seven years’ experience of custom application development including analysis, design, coding, and testing for technology solutions. At least two years of that experience must have included experience in designing/architecting systems in Microsoft.Net, programming using Visual Basic, C#, ASP.net, WCF and web tools, developing SQL and PLSQL for use of Oracle and MS SQL Server databases and designing secure web applications in a team environment and at least one year of experience in project work using Microsoft TFS.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, or related field can substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Duties Description Under the direction of the manager of applications and programming services for the Department of Agriculture and Markets within the Environment and Energy Cluster, the Project Assistant will work with agency licensing subject matter experts and the statewide e-licensing implementation team to analyze business processes and configure the multiple components of the system to incorporate those processes. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Work with agency subject matter experts to analyze existing licensing requirements and regulations and determine proper system implementation.
• Define and maintain security and roles in the new e-licensing system.
• Work in tandem with vendor staff to learn how to develop and maintain system configuration using native system tools and SQL or other development languages.
• Work with data conversion experts to identify proper movement of legacy data to new system.
• Identify proper business workflow steps and implement in new system
• Work with agency inspection staff to identify opportunities to move legacy inspection systems to the new statewide licensing system.
• Work with agency compliance staff to identify opportunities to incorporate compliance activities into the new system.
• Develop, modify, test and implement interface programs to allow the new e licensing system to work with existing agency applications as needed.
• Train agency staff on proper use of the new system and provide support for internal help desk questions related to use of the new system
• Identify and implement public facing on-line application and renewal screens and processes
• Work with end-users and agency subject matter experts in user acceptance testing of the new system. .
• Maintain system configuration change logs and documentation.
• Report and track resolution of system errors and bugs.
Additional Comments This Office of Information Technology Services position will be assigned to the Environment and Energy cluster. Please note this is a temporary appointment with a projected term of 18 months.
