Minimum Qualifications Candidate must have one year of permanent or contingent permanent service as a Senior Auditor, Grade 18, OR be eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, OR be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list for this title.

Trainee candidates must currently be in an Auditor traineeship or be eligible to transfer to an Auditor Trainee 1, or be reachable for appointment off of the appropriate Civil Service eligible list.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Associate Auditor, the Senior Auditor/Auditor Trainee’s duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Conduct draw activities that include obtaining, verifying, communicating and entering winning data into ESPlayer, DIRAD, MUSL and the NYS Lottery website.
• Preparation of draw balance reports for multi-state games.
• Communicate with the draw studio, as well as multi-state games, during draw activities to verify that games have closed, receive winning numbers and verify winning data with staff.
• Daily and weekly audits of vendor’s sales data to ensure amounts and counts are in line with Lottery data.
• Processing retailer credit requests.
• Prepare, verify and enter daily winning information, such as winning numbers, prize amounts, prize counts and winning locations.

Preferred Qualification: Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.

Additional Comments The work hours are 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM. The schedule consists of different workdays, including weekends and holidays. Some mandatory overtime may be required.

Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a fingerprint background check before an official appointment offer can be made.
