Minimum Qualifications This is a transfer opportunity for a current State employee with one year permanent competitive or 55 b/c service as an Office Assistant 2 Calculations.
OR
70.1 Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a clerical, secretarial or keyboarding title, SG-7 or higher and meet transfer eligibility requirements.

Duties Description The incumbent will be assigned to the Convention & Cultural Events (CCE) Office and will provide financial assistance to the CCE Business Unit along with the Bureau of Food Services, Curatorial Services and the Empire State Plaza Gift Shop.

Duties for the position include, but are not limited to:
• Perform various complicated clerical processing, purchasing, records maintenance and financial reports to support CCE Business Unit.
• Process transactions pertaining to accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing.
• Provide procurement support and make purchases while adhering to New York State Purchasing requirements.
• Process purchase orders and requisitions utilizing the Statewide Financial System (SFS).
• Process credit card payments to vendors.
• Process travel transactions for staff as required.
• Assist Business Manager by researching, analyzing data and writing narratives for requested reports and performance measures.
• Track financial data in MS Excel and Access databases and create additional databases and spreadsheets as required.
• Review customer billing for accuracy and process invoices in SFS.
• Serve as financial liaison to Empire State Plaza Gift Shop and perform account clerical audits as needed and maintain sales and inventory records.
• Perform clerical duties, such as updating documents, filing, scanning, copying and special projects as assigned.
• Contact clients and vendors by mail, e-mail and phone when necessary.
• Provide support at the year-round At the Plaza series of events.
