Minimum Qualifications This is a transfer opportunity for a current State employee with permanent service as a Senior Offset Printing Machine Operator.

Permanent - 52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion:
If there are no more than three qualified candidates in the promotion field for this position, the agency will request approval from the Department of Civil Service to fill this position via a non-competitive promotion (NCP) examination, pursuant to Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law. In order to be eligible for the NCP, candidates must be in the direct promotion field, have had one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as an Offset Printing Machine Operator and pass a performance test on the equipment they would operate.
OR
Provisional Pending Examination:
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as an Offset Printing Machine Operator. You will be required to pass a performance test on the equipment you would operate before you can be appointed.
OR
70.1 Transer:
One year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a clerical, secretarial or keyboarding title, SG-7 or higher and meet transfer eligibility requirements and successful completion of a performance test.
Duties Description The duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Operate the color press machines.
• Operate production copying machines.
• Perform bindery work.
• Operate a computer with the ability to use Microsoft Office software and other programs such as Adobe Pro and EFI.
• Operate the forklift.
• Pull supplies from stock and track inventory for print jobs.
• Supervisory duties may be required.
Additional Comments Operating Needs:
• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Forklift certification will be required after appointment.
