Minimum Qualifications NOTE: Must be a current State employee to be eligible for this position.

One year of permanent or contingent permanent service as either a Clerk 2, Grade 9, Data Processing Clerk 2, Grade 9, or Training Aide, Grade 9; OR eligible to transfer to any of these titles via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR reachable on one of the Civil Service eligible lists for the above titles.

Duties Description Under the general direction of the Licensing Bureau Chief and reporting to a Senior Administrative Analyst, this incumbent will be responsible for the application process for the Lottery Retailer Licensing Program. The application process consists of entering data into the Bureau’s database and imaging of all files as a part of the Bureau’s electronic repository of documents. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Process new retailer applications and change of ownership applications.

• Process retailer-related documents received from the Commission’s six Lottery regional offices.

• Process and research fingerprinting data on prospective retailers.

• Process Lottery retailer mailings.

• Enter and maintain the workflow into the Bureau’s data processing and imaging systems.

• Interact with the public and the Commission’s central staff and six Lottery regional offices on a daily basis to ensure that all licensing procedures are adhered to.

• Back-up other staff members as needed.

Additional Comments Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a fingerprint background check before an official appointment offer can be made.
