Salary RangeFrom $42555 to $51830 Annually
Minimum Qualifications NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as an Agency Program Aide (G13) OR NYS employee with one year or more permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title at or above a G11 and eligible for 70.1 transfer under NYS Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate would have proficiency using personal computers, including experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook). Excellent written and oral communication skills, including telephone skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks in a busy office environment. Proofreading skills and attention to detail.
Duties Description Under the direction of a Public Health Representative 3 within the Bureau of Immunization, the Agency Program Aide will perform a variety of administrative functions related to the operation of the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS) and will be part of a team ensuring compliance with program requirements related to NYSIIS. Duties will include: oversee and provide assistance to health care providers, schools and camps in establishing Health Commerce Accounts (HCS) accounts as necessary and triage inquiries related to HCS accounts to appropriate resources; assist providers in establishing NYSIIS user accounts for individuals and respond to any related inquiries; assist in the roll-out of, and logistics for, Department of Health sponsored NYSIIS trainings, user meetings and stakeholder meetings; assist in the development and distribution of NYSIIS related educational and training materials; perform fiscal activities for NYSIIS, including procurement, purchasing, and processing and tracking of contractor payments; and assist with staffing and recruitment activities.
Additional Comments Permanent, full-time. Occasional travel, including overnights and travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation is required.
