Minimum Qualifications You must possess a license to practice medicine in New York State. If you are licensed in another state or by written examination in Canada, you may be considered for appointment if you have a current limited permit to practice medicine in New York State. However, should you receive an appointment under this condition your continued employment will be dependent upon your maintaining a valid NYS limited permit (which is issued for a specific time period) or obtaining full NYS licensure. Failure to do so will result in termination of your employment. You must also be eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. If you recieve an appointment, your conitinued employment will depend upon maintaining eligibility. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment. In addition, you must have a M.D., M.B.B.S. or D.O. degree; and have completed one year of postgraduate training acceptable to the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education of the American Medical Association (or as listed in the Directory of Approved Residency Training Programs), and have had 2 years of subsequent medical experience.

Duties Description This position supports the administrative needs/efforts for the Central Office division of Health Services and the Deputy Commissioner. Inmate patient contact is limited. Duties include: AED monitoring, APS Monthly meetings, GID committee, Policy work/assistance, assistance with Central Pharmacy needs, and other duties in Central Office as the need arises.

Additional Comments Actual hours of position to be discussed at interview. Travel is 10-20%
