Minimum Qualifications Reachable on the Health Services Nurse eligible list or eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

Duties Description The incumbent will provide occupational health services to NYS employees resident at the Utica State Office Building. The nurse will be expected to work independently and without direct on-site supervision. Regularly, the nurse will be assigned to travel to assist with occupational health programs at the Syracuse State Office Building. Additional travel will be required to conduct TB screening tests, immunization programs, venipunctures, and other occupational health services at agency sites throughout Central New York. There is often a need for making critical nursing decisions and exercising professional judgment in the absence of specific orders. Although the principal client populations is NYS employees, the incumbent may provide emergency services to the public and other non-State employees who are on State property. Typically, the workweek is 37.50 hours, Monday through Friday.
