Minimum Qualifications Either: 1) Reachable on aCivil Service eligible list: OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having a permanent competitive service as an Accountant Trainee 1; OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of pemanent competitive servivce in an appropriate title.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Unit Supervisor the incumbent of this position will function as a professional accountant responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating and monitoring investment portfolio reconciliation, reporting and accounting for externally managed public market portfolios as well as real estate and alternative investments. The incumbent may act as the primary liaison for NYSTRS between the custodial bank and investment managers, coordinating all custodial service activities for investment managers hired by NYSTRS. The incumbent may manage the operational and compliance aspects for all direct investments participating in foreign markets. Quantitative oversight and accounting for the System's securities lending program will also be provided.
