Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent or contingent permanent service as a Senior Administrative Analyst, Grade 18; OR one year of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under 52.6 of the Civil Service Law; OR eligible to transfer via Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law into the trainee title (Administrative Analyst Trainee 1); OR an eligible 55b/c candidate who possesses a bachelor’s degree OR be reachable on either the Gaming Commission’s Public Administration Traineeship Transition Program (PATT) list or the Statewide Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) list.
PATT or PCO list appointees must serve a two-year traineeship (Grade 13, 14) that leads to the Grade 18 salary level. Advanced placement may be available for candidates with experience above the required minimum.
Duties Description The incumbent will be assigned to work out of the Gaming Commission office at the video lottery gaming facility listed above. The incumbent will work under the general direction of the Associate Internal Auditor and will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Review video lottery gaming facility internal control submissions to the Commission.
• Review and approve the jobs compendiums submitted by the video lottery gaming facilities to the Commission.
• Maintain up to date files of facility internal control and jobs compendium documents.
• Investigate possible regulatory violations and prepare regulatory violation reports to the Gaming Director.
• Review the rules for big ticket prize drawings to ensure they are properly designed and adequately documented.
• Observe the grand drawings for large prizes awarded at promotional events at the video facilities.
• Perform audits of various functions as assigned at the video gaming facilities.
• Review incident reports prepared by the Surveillance and Security departments at the video lottery facilities.
• Prepare business performance reports of video gaming activities.
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by the Associate Internal Auditor.
Additional Comments 5 day workweek including every other weekend
Week 1: Thursday thru Wednesday (Saturday and Sunday off)
Week 2: Thursday thru Wednesday (Thursday and Friday off)
Hours 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a fingerprint background check before an official appointment offer can be made.
