Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list. Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the general direction of the WC Program Manager 3, the Property Manager 1, SG 18, in the Facilities Management Unit serves as an assistant, making routine decisions involving property management services of Workers’ Compensation Board facilities located across the state. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for managing multiple projects related to the replacement or movement of a number of the Boards Offices, and for the management of all the downstate buildings. Duties include but are not limited to: overseeing the construction work on lease projects in various locations; coordinating the movement of staff as necessary; managing properties to ensure that all leased space has adequate working conditions; investigating and resolving tenant complaints/issues affecting health, comfort, and safety and contact landlord; developing and disseminating maintenance plans; coordinating the use of facilities during and after business hours; supervising staff and providing guidance and direction; coordinating the activities of construction companies, utilities, inspectors, and maintenance personnel; and developing and administering a building maintenance program for all upstate Board offices. 15% travel required.
