Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have one year of permanent competitive service as Budget Examiner, M/C-18, OR one year of permanent competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under section 52.6 of Civil Service Law.


Duties Description The incumbent will be a member of a three-person team responsible for the Department of Motor Vehicles, the State's regional transit authorities, and other bridge and port authorities and entities. Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the Department of Motor Vehicles, Albany Port District Commission, Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority, Port of Oswego and the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor.

The incumbent’s assignment will include:

• Develop and review budget and programmatic recommendations;
• Facilitate and monitor budget execution activities on one or more of these agencies and authorities;
• Represent the Division in meetings with agency and authority fiscal and program staff;
• Draft legislation and bill memorandums; and
• Track revenues, disbursements and staffing against fiscal and personnel plans, providing periodic reports to management and other functions as assigned.
