Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with permanent status as an Agency Training and Development Specialist 2 and interested in transfer; OR reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Agency Training and Development Specialist 2; OR eligible to transfer via Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Serve as the primary Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS) administrator for the agency, including using reports to monitor training compliance, keeping records up-to-date, and establishing courses. Oversee agency training activities, including assessing needs, identifying and evaluating training programs, developing curricula, and conducting training using methods including webinar and classroom. Consult with and provide advice to employees and managers to help meet performance and career goals. Provide agency staff with information on training and development opportunities. Identify emerging training needs and make recommendations to meet needs. Serve as liaison training and development liaison with other agencies, labor management groups, etc. Negotiate and administer contracts for delivery of training services by consultants. Other duties as assigned.
