Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be currently serving in the title of Direct Support Assistant with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current valid Driver’s License, AMAP, SCIP, First Aid and CPR Certifications are preferred.
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists, trains and supervises Individuals in a self-care and performance of housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, shopping, food preparation and household maintenance. Attends to the personal, self-care and other needs of those Individuals who are unable to take care of themselves. Administers or assists in the administration of first aid treatment in the event of minor burns, cuts and abrasions. Assists during workshops, social cultural events and day programming. Maintains all appropriate and required files, records and reports incidents, neighborhood reactions, etc. May also have contact via telephone, letter or face-to-face conversation with family members, neighbors, community clinicians and business people
