Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with permanent status as an Office Assistant 3 and interested in transfer ~OR~ Reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Office Assistant 3 (Principal Clerk, former title) ~OR~ eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. FOR PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT: promotional qualifications are, one year as an Office Assistant 2 (Clerk 2, former title); or one year of permanent service in a clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional title allocated to Grade 7 or higher.
Duties Description The incumbent’s duties include, but are not limited to: oversight of mail room services, supply and equipment inventories, reproduction services, fleet management, liaison with the building superintendent, receipt and distribution of supplies and other equipment; work closely with OASAS staff to ensure agency policies are implemented; order supplies for the Albany stock room as required; prepare purchase requisitions for goods and services; coordinate between staff and building management related to building issues; perform timely and accurate data entry ( e.g. SFS, Equipment and Stockroom Inventory, etc.); act as the agency’s Records Management Officer to coordinate the preparation, transmission and retrieval of records with the NYS Records Center; coordinate fleet operations; work with staff and supervisors to identify and evaluate Office Services operations for cost savings measures and efficiencies as warranted; coordinate the conference room set ups and assist with set ups as necessary; supervision of Office Services unit staff; and other duties as assigned.
