Minimum Qualifications NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service as an Agency Program Aide (G13) OR NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a G11 and eligible for 70.1 transfer under NYS Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with processing contract documents and with the Statewide Financial system (SFS) including developing purchase orders (POs) and other transactions, tracking contract documents and developing spreadsheets and other documents for tracking purposes, experience with Microsoft including word and excel, excellent communication skills are desired.

Duties Description The Agency Program Aide will assist higher level staff in the BOA’s Finance and Contract Management Unit, and will review contract payment vouchers, provide information to, and answer questions from, department staff and contractors regarding activities, transactions, and procedures; process claims in SFS; prepare e-mails to contractors and maintain electronic files; create purchase orders; encumber and disencumber funds; consult with contractors to edit their Statement and Report of Expenditures (BSROE); maintain electronic voucher files, enter budgets into the fiscal system and other related duties which will allow higher level staff to concentrate on contract management, budget and fiscal reviews, contract execution, and other more complex fiscal and contract activities. The workload encompasses over 500 contractors and quarterly vouchers for each. This positon is imperative to support contract activities within the Division and will allow for greater productivity from higher level staff.
