Minimum Qualifications NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service as an Agency Program Aide (G13) OR NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a G11 and eligible for 70.1 transfer under NYS Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient computer skills including experience with spreadsheet, database and word processing software; the ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple activities to meet deadlines and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties Description The NYS Early Intervention Program administers services to approximately 65,000 children and their families each year with annual reimbursement for services of over $500 million. The program collects an extensive amount of fiscal and programmatic data. The requests for information from internal and external stakeholders, including the Division of Budget, Legislators, Advisory Council members, and County Officials, have increased with the transition to the State Fiscal Agent. These requests need to be documented and monitored to assure a timely response is provided. The Agency Program Aide will document requests for information in an Access database and run weekly reports to assure deadlines are met. In addition, the documentation for the data needs to be organized and updated constantly. Having this documentation will improve the efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of responses to data requests by senior biostatisticians and analysts in the Bureau. Under the direction of the manager for the Program Evaluation and Evidence-based Practice Unit, the incumbent will assist with efforts to document and track request for information as well as the information about the data itself. The incumbent will support administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, recording and distributing agendas and minutes from meetings, assisting with the development and tracking of required Department documents for travel and personnel transactions, and formatting letters and presentations.
