Minimum Qualifications You must be a current New State employee to be considered for this position. Candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title, or have one year of competitive class, permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Examples of eligible titles: Office Assistant 2 (Calculations), Office Assistant 2 (Stores/Mail) and Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding).
Duties Description Vehicle Safety certifies, licenses and regulates multiple types of automotive related business. This position is available in the Applications Processing Unit.
Duties may include:
Answering and placing phone calls related to business applications and operating requirements. Processing of business applications that require significant knowledge of the program; Processing of applications or requests that do not meet normal parameters and may require additional research and consultation with higher level staff; perform database searches for tax numbers, policy numbers and business history: Data entry of business information and workflow tracking entry.
