Salary RangeFrom $67703 to $85635 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Applicant must be an employee of New York State and have permanent or contingent permanent status as a Psychologist 2 eligible for transfer, OR have permanent or contingent/permanent status as a Psychologist 1 and eligible for transfer or be reachable on the Civil Service list.
For all other qualified candidates, you must have a master of psychology degree from a regionally accredited college or university which prepares graduates for master’s level psychologist positions in clinical, forensic, or community mental health settings; AND the degree program must have included a clinical psychology practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork. You must indicate the practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork on the examination application (Form NYS-APP, Application for NYS Examinations), or attach an additional sheet if necessary.
In addition to the above requirements: You must indicate that you have had appropriately supervised post-master’s degree experience in a clinical setting, community mental health setting, or forensic setting providing primarily psychological services as follows:
For Psychologist 2: two years of supervised post master’s degree psychology experience.
For Psychologist 1: one year of supervised post master’s degree psychology experience.
Duties Description The duties include but are not limited to the following: The incumbent would provide psychological and residential habilitation services to individuals in state operated programs as outlined below:
Psychological assessments, Team meetings, Psychological programs, Habilitation goals, Monitoring of data, Staff
training, Medication consent
