Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in one of more of the following areas: administration of federally funded grant programs; preparing and processing applications for disaster mitigation/recovery projects; processing requests for grant project payments and performing financial reviews required for final payment; damage assessment and identification of appropriate assistance funding programs; review of action plans or planning, organizing and coordinating disaster recovery programs involving local, state and federal agencies.

Duties Description • Develops and maintains knowledge of all applicable State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to recovery programs and grant administration.
• Researches current recovery concepts, communicates current programs guidance and administration functions and provides same to local, regional, and state entities.
• Assists with the development, delivery, and review of specific training for both internal and external use as required.
• Develops program and implementation strategies for declared and non-declared disaster events and supports operational components in the field or unit.
• Compiles data and prepares responses to FEMA, state entities, and applicants when necessary.
• Prepares for and delivers trainings to support the disaster programs.
• Support the State Emergency Operations Center or field offices during emergency or disaster activations and ongoing events.
• Supervision of permanent, temporary staff and contractual staff performing all supervisory duties as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
