Minimum Qualifications You must have permanent/professional or provisional/initial/conditional initial New York State certification in appropriate specialty.
Requirements For Appointment At Each Level:
For Teacher 2: New York State provisional/initial/conditional initial certification in the appropriate specialty;
For Teacher 3: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty;
For Teacher 4: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (conditional initial/provisional/initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in that same specialty.
Duties Description Makes plans for teaching assignment consistent with and based on oveall course objectives. Conducts or in some cases supervises the class session using the daily lesson plan as a guide. Instruction is typically individualized as lerners are usually performing at different stages in a course. Evaluates the learners performance and progress in the class.
