Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service or 55 b/c service as a Senior Administrative Analyst OR in an approved administrative title within two salary grades of a grade 18 OR reachable on the Public Administration Trainee Transition (PATT) list OR the Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list OR have one year of permanent competitive service or 55 b/c service in a title eligible for transfer under section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Appointments made from the PATT or PCO lists require completion of a two-year traineeship.

Duties Description Are you a natural born leader? Would like a change and to think outside the box? Would you like to be part of the LEAN team? Duties include, but not limited to:

• Lead various Lean projects and initiatives as Empire Belts.
• Develop work plan, outlining the purpose and scope of project, plan of action, techniques to be used, and tentative schedules.
• Collect pertinent data through various means such as related reports and documents, interviews, conferences, questionnaires, reports and on-site observations.
• Prepare reports to inform supervisor of status of project and to elicit guidance on changes in approach when warranted.
• Plan, develop, analyze, evaluate and review project findings and advise management on recommendations.
• Prepare pertinent analyses, such as cost/benefit analysis, systems alternatives analysis or alternative problem solutions analysis, when appropriate.
• Develop findings and recommendations along with supporting charts and documents for review by supervisor.
• Coordinate Lean project kaizens with OGS managers and division staff.
• Prepare weekly status reports and update metrics for ongoing Lean projects.
• Conducts assigned management and organization studies and surveys to develop appropriate recommendations for management improvements.
• Support operations and office group to drive the establishment and maintenance of standard work and continuous flow in all areas.
