Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for a 70.1 transfer, an individual must have one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to a salary grade 7 or above.

Duties Description Processing Receipts of the retirement system:Daily: picks up checks deposited into the Common Retirement Fund, determines which of 13 payment types each belongs to, creates separate batches, determines which member, employer or pensioner account the check is to be applied to, perform additional research to identify most. Reconciles each batch and enters each check into MEBEL. Reconciles each batch to MEBEL totals.
Compile work ticket information for each batch and deliver to business area.
Maintain Employer Records:
Maintain employer files. Assist in testing of billing data. Create and maintain financial records and statistics. Correct previously entered data found to be incorrect. Assist in processing of security requests. Participate in Redesign meetings by providing information on the receipting process, test and implement new receipting process as part of 4A.

Additional Comments • Knowledge of agency policies and program policies, procedures and functions.
• Ability to read, understand and apply laws, procedures, rules, regulations and guidelines where there are not clear precedents and without detailed direction.
• Ability to perform complicated mathematical computations which include such things as account keeping, auditing, statistics and/or payroll computation.
• Ability to prepare reports composed of narrative as well as numerical information.
• Ability to successfully use software required by the position, including Lotus Notes calendaring, scheduling, team rooms, and bulletin boards; Microsoft Word; and Excel.
• Ability to use common office equipment, including desktops, laptops, photocopiers, calculators, etc.
• Ability to perform tasks accurately within prescribed time frames.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally as required for the position.
