Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Administrative Aide, Assistant Workers' Compensation Examiner, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 and Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding. Candidates who have not held a permanent keyboarding title will be required to pass a performance test.
Duties Description The incumbent will provide essential administrative support for Human Resources Management (HRM). Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: answer telephones; process incoming mail; draft responses to routine inquiries received by the office; typing; filing; order office supplies; copying; faxing; processing of personal history files; maintaining office equipment; and providing support to HRM staff as requested or needed.
