Minimum Qualifications
Eligible for appointment from the Civil Service List OR One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Head Clerk Personnel or eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service law.

Duties Description Supervise clerical staff, including approving leave, monitoring work progress, assigning and reassigning work, conducting staff meetings and completing performance evaluations.

Oversee various recruitment activities, such as canvassing, reassignments, and postings.

Coordinate on-boarding activities including new employee orientation program.

Supervise the handling of various performance management programs, including the tracking and follow up on timely probation reports, performance evaluations and performance evaluation appeal hearings.

Assist with the implementation of the agency Employee Recognition program.

Assist with the development of various reports and other documents for decision making purposes, including various strategic and workforce planning reports, surveys and executive presentation materials.

Coordinate the logistics for special training in response to management and staff needs.

Coordinate reports on workload and performance measurements for bureau management and assisting with HR analytics activities.

Monitor the employee separation processes and controls on behalf of the agency.

Process Temporary Employee Agency (TEA) authorizations and invoices.
