Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a position at the SG-23 level or above designated administrative pursuant to Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will lead a team of Administrative Analysts tasked with conducting and coordinating organizational and programmatic analyses, business process re-engineering, data analysis and performance reporting, and facilitate enterprise Lean project implementation to execute agency organizational improvement and transformation activity.

Illustrative duties include, but are not limited to:

• Train, coach and mentor others at all organizational levels to apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve business processes and achieve Continuous Improvement objectives.
• Work closely with business units to organize “deep dives” into various organizational issues and work with them to develop viable solutions for streamlining business processes and identifying new Lean projects.
• Define and deliver appropriate training for Kaizen events and project teams that ensure team members have the knowledge required for project success.
• Lead kaizen events and other project teams in the implementation of Lean Enterprise principles throughout OGS.
• Provide kaizen event and project follow-up to ensure achievement and sustainment of the required results.
• Continuously drives improvement within their area of responsibility by having an improved future-state vision, setting goals that move toward that vision and taking the actions required to achieve those goals.
• Lead the development of current and future state value stream maps and continues improvement plans, as well as the implementation of those plans across the value stream.
• Be highly visible to Team Members to associates and promote hands-on, high involvement approaches to problem solving.
• Assist business units in the design, development and reporting of key performance indicators.
• “Mine” available organizational data to identify and recommend strategies for mitigating business process inefficiencies.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
