Reachable on Civil Service Eligible List for Children and Family Services Specialist 1 MG OR
One year of permanent competitive service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 1 MG or eligible for a 70.1 transfer.*
*70.1 Transfer Eligibility: One year of experience in a public, private, not-for-profit or community organization, the mission of which was the advocacy for public assistance recipients of diverse racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds OR 24 semester credit hours in the study of people of diverse racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds is required for transfer into this title.

Duties Description
Monitor and provide oversight and technical assistance to local social service districts.

Monitor and provide oversight and technical assistance to county youth bureaus for compliance with State and Federal guidelines.

Assist in the development, implementation and administration of New York State services to children, adults and families.

Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
