Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill a Contract Management Specialist 2, Grade 23, position assigned to the Administrative Support Services Group (ASSG), Capital Operations. The incumbent of this position will develop, negotiate, prepare, process, implement, and track a variety of facility maintenance service contracts in support of OMH’s 24 facilities statewide. Specific duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Work with OMH legal staff, the budget office, control agencies, and consultants to develop and track contractural documents.

Participate in the bidding and negotiation process of assigned contracts, and develop contract amendments as necessary .

Monitor and track contract payments and expenditures.

Review proposed contracts to ensure appropriate guidelines, rules and regulations are met and adhered to and that all required approvals are obtained in accordance with State and Agency policies.

Monitor contracts to ensure contractural obligations are met within specified timeframes.

Develop materials for the Capital Operations budget and spending plan.

Respond to requests from control agencies regarding contracts and expenditures.
