Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive service in a title eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent organizational, technical and communications skills; a working knowledge of New York State criminal justice programs and policies and expertise with criminal history data; and a thorough understanding of the criminal history research and creation process.

Duties Description This position will provide technical support for a variety of criminal justice research functions. Duties will include conducting data quality reviews and analyses of research data, preparing complex case-level research data files and coordinating code changes for the monthly refresh of analytic research database as needed. The incumbent will also develop, assess and document procedures for extracting research data to ensure validity, efficiency and accuracy.
