Minimum Qualifications Required for Provisional Pending Examination Appointment:
Six years of experience engaged in commercial property or office lease management to include performing site searches, negotiating lease terms, drafting lease agreements, and resolving tenant and/or landlord issues.
An associates degree may substitute for up to two years of experience. A bachelors degree may substitute for up to four years of experience.

Duties Description • Meet with agency operations personnel to discuss new lease requirements or the alteration of existing leased space to ensure agencies can meet programmatic needs.
• Work with the state tenant broker to identify potential lease sites throughout the state to meet New York State agency requirements.
• Work with the state tenant broker to investigate and analyze local real estate markets as to vacancies and rental rates to determine the most favorable lease terms and conditions.
• Negotiate real estate leases.
•Justify alternate site for agency consideration through the development and use of a Request for Information (RFI).
• Prepare lease drafts in a comprehensive and professional manner.
• Complete assignments in the requirement timeframes.
• Successfully interface with landlord attorneys and brokers to resolve lease issues.
• Under the direction of a Leasing Agent 2, handle multiple projects and their various stages.
• Properly document project actions and issues in lease files and the project costing module in SFS.
• Perform other related duties as required.
