Duties Description NYSTRS is seeking an object oriented developer. The incumbent duties include, but are not limited to, the following: The incumbent will work with end-users to define project requirements in analysis and design documentation. The incumbent will then design, code, and test applications to meet the defined requirements. The
incumbent will perform a full range of activities including: Systems analysis and design; Application programming development; Unit, Systems, and Acceptance testing; and Systems implementation and maintenance.
The development of new applications and support of existing applications may utilize Java, .net, and additional proprietary toolkits as needed. This position will include support for existing applications, both custom and delivered, as well as development of new applications.

Additional Comments Experience developing applications with Java
Experience developing applications with VB.NET and Visual Studio 2010 or higher
Familiarity with writing complex SQL statements to query relational databases
Familiarity with relational database programming techniques
Understanding of Object Oriented concepts
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with Document Management, Capture, or Workflow solutions, such as Documentum,
FileNet, Open Text and/or Kofax, FileNet DataCap, etc.
Strong business analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
