Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for 70.1 transfer.
In order to qualify for a Section 70.1 transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent service in a Grade 9 or higher level title. The title cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in a advancement of more than two grade levels. Some titles eligible for a 70.1 transfer are Business Document Specialist 1, Motor Vehicle Representative, Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding, etc.
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Office of Counsel provides legal guidance and services to the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) network on a myriad of issues arising from the delivery of supports and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position will provide overall office secretarial assistance to the different units within the Counsel’s Office. Under the supervision of the Secretary 2 to the General Counsel the duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Maintain office clerical functions such as supply orders, maintaining Xerox and scheduling equipment repairs;
• Prepare, modify and edit spreadsheets and power point presentations;
• Schedule meetings and conference calls and reserve conference rooms;
• Submit Helpdesk tickets, handle Information Line requests;
• Maintain databases and files;
• Assist with letters and mailings;
• Assist with hiring and onboarding of staff;
• Other duties as needed.
