Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have permanent status as an Agency Program Aide, Grade 13, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting a qualified State employee to fill the position of Agency Program Aide, Grade 13, in the Division of Forensic Services (DFS), Bureau of Institutional Sex Offender Treatment (BISOT).

Duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Advise Chief Psychiatric Examiner/Director of BISOT and senior management relative to the coordination of case designations for those individuals in a Secure Treatment Facility (STF).
• Receive and review all records to ensure all clinically-relevant materials are received prior to individual’s movement within the STF.
• Coordinate Victim Notification Process, and assess/identify resident movement, including admissions, transfers and discharges of all sex offenders who are confined in an OMH secure treatment facility so that determinations of continued dangerousness can be made.
• Interact in person and by telephone with various state and local municipalities, county jails, police departments, forensic hospitals and medical and program directors.
• Oversee the requesting and coordination of records from DOCCS, and OMH facilities as well as other state agencies, courts and local municipalities.
