Minimum Qualifications For the position of Assistant Attorney General, we are seeking attorneys with a minimum of eight (8) years of New York State prosecutorial experience, including significant investigative experience, such as writing search warrants and cell site orders. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and managing complex, document-intensive investigations. The candidate will also possess excellent writing skills and substantial grand jury and trial experience. A background in finance and securities is not necessary, but is a plus.
Attorneys in the Office must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the Office be citizens of the United States.
Duties Description The Office of the New York State Attorney General is seeking highly experienced attorneys for the Criminal Enforcement and Financial Crimes Bureau, located in New York City. This Bureau investigates and prosecutes criminal acts related to securities fraud, tax fraud, and other white collar crimes. The Bureau includes attorneys, investigators, auditors and analysts who conduct complex, long-term criminal investigations and prosecute cases from charging through conviction.
Additional Comments Salary to be determined commensurate with experience.
