Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have investigative prosecutorial experience handling complex, long term criminal investigations and will be expected to perform detailed oversight of investigations, meet strict deadlines and work hand-in-hand with our law enforcement partners across the state. Candidates must also have substantial grand jury and trial experience, as well as legal writing experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience with the Organized Crime Control Act (Enterprise Corruption statute) and electronic surveillance. We are not seeking applicants with less than eight (8) years of prosecutorial experience.

Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the OAG be citizens of the United States.

Duties Description The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced prosecutor to join its Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF) in White Plains. OCTF conducts long term criminal investigations related to gang activity, drug trafficking, firearms trafficking, loan sharking, book making, money laundering, labor racketeering, and other white collar crime as well as human trafficking. OCTF is comprised of dedicated attorneys, analysts and investigators who are responsible for the cases from the investigation stage through the prosecution of a myriad of criminal offenses.
