Candidates must have one year of permanent status in the Human Resources Specialist 3 Labor Relations (formerly Agency Labor Relations Representative 2) title, or be eligible to transfer via Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH), Center for Human Resource Management, Bureau of Employee Relations, is recruiting to fill a Human Resources Specialist 3 Labor Relations, M-1 position.
The Human Resources Specialist 3 Labor Relations will represent OMH at contractually required review meetings of grievances and disciplinary actions, and serve as the Agency advocate in all disciplinary arbitrations and other administrative hearings, including Section 72 hearings and those before the Time and Attendance Umpire. The incumbents may represent facilities at administrative hearings before other agencies such as the Public Employees Review Board (PERB) and the Workers’ Compensation Board.
NOTE: A flexible work location outside of the Capital District may be available and will be discussed during the interview process.
