Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title or reachable on the appropriate Civil Service List; or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer.

Appointment: A bachelor's degree including nine (9) semester credit hours in statistics, economics, econometrics, or research methods and two years of subsequent professional research experience in the collection and evaluation of quantitative data directed toward review and analysis of program operations. Candidates must also have at least three years of research experience in the field of criminal justice (a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice may be substituted for one year or a master’s degree in criminal justice may be substituted for two years of this experience).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience presenting complex data and information to high level and non-technical audiences; strong analytical, writing and communication skills; experience manipulating data and a good attention to detail; and the ability to work well in team settings.
Duties Description This position involves analyzing criminal justice data and preparing reports and statistics. The incumbent will manipulate large data sets, summarize criminal justice trends and prepare high level policy presentations. The incumbent will also respond to internal and external requests for criminal justice related statistics.
