Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must be reachable on the Information Technology 3, SG-23, eligible list OR be eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Candidates must have one year of permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to a salary grade 21 or higher.

Duties Description Under the general direction of the Information Technology Specialist 4 (SG-25), the Information Technology Specialist 3 (SG-23) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

FileNet System Administration

• Maintenance of the FileNet System
• Install and configure FileNet software
• Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes to FileNet software
• Monitor FileNet system communication, performance, and usage
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Provide technical FileNet support to users, other administrators, and integrators/developers
• Troubleshoot FileNet system issues
• Deploy custom FileNet code
• Facilitate loading of data into FileNet system

FileNet Development and Support

• Develop/Support custom FileNet Workplace Applications
• Create and maintain application documentation
• Gather User Requirements
• Facilitate user testing
• Facilitate bulk load of archived data


Supervision

• Oversight and mentoring of activities assigned to ITS 2 team member on ECM assignments including:
o Mentor in preparation and review of complex technical requirements written to ensure business requirements will be fully met
o Ensure priorities of management clearly communicated to ITS 2
o Mentor ITS 2 in the prioritization of multiple and changing assignments
o Supervise the ITS 2 in the preparation of accurate estimates of effort for work assignments
o Supervise the ITS 2 in addressing technical and functional issues, which impact projects.

• Experience as a FileNet Administrator
• Experience in analysis and design, and the ability to interact with both technical and business staff
• Experience working directly with business units to facilitate defining and documenting business requirements and specifications
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Strong analytical / troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a demanding environment with multiple priorities and customers.
