Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law (the only title eligible for transfer is Sr. Investigator); or reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.

Duties Description The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: supervising a staff of Crime Victim Specialists 1 who are responsible for the investigation of personal injury, death, essential personal property claims, and additional medical requests on claims; supervising the processing unit; providing instruction and training to staff on agency policy and procedures; monitoring time and attendance, and developing performance evaluation programs for staff supervised; handling the more complex claims and claimant issues; reviewing reopens and appeal requests; and providing internal and external training as needed.
