ELIGIBLE LIST: Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for the Office Assistant 2 in Albany. Candidates who are currently on the eligible list for the Office Assistant 2 in Albany need not submit an application for this posting unless they are applying directly as a result of the transfer qualifications listed above.
Duties Description Under the direct supervision of an LAS II Supervisor, the Office Assistant 2 is responsible to supervise subordinate staff, communicate with Local Social Services Districts, HMOs, Hearing Officers and Intake Staff providing information so that hearings can be processed and held in a timely manner. They monitor a shared mailbox in Outlook in order to process waivers of appearance, take necessary action on the emails sent, data enter information in FHIS, review decision in FHDMS, redact decisions in order for them to be placed on the internet, process mail, file documents, type various documents for professional staff, must have a general knowledge of OTDA programs and the forms used in requesting hearings to ensure the correct staff receive these documents, and complete other related duties, as assigned.
