Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled journey-level position which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprentice training in a trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses in a trade at a school or institute may be substituted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within 6 months of appointment.
Must be able to traverse rough terrain, work in remote locations, work in extreme weather conditions, climb ladders and work in and around water.

Duties Description Must be willing and able to plan and lay out construction, repair and maintenance projects and have a working knowledge of applicable standards and plumbing and electrical code regulations. Must be able to diagnose problems in framing, roofing, masonry foundations, electrical systems, plumbing, water and sewer systems, motors, pumps, boilers, water heaters, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, septic systems, lift stations and grinder pumps. Must be able to use hand tools, portable power tools, shop equipment and measuring and testing instruments appropriate for the projects to which you are assigned. Must be willing to communicate using proper radio etiquette. Must be able to perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and equipment. Must be able to drive to locations within Region 4 to preform duties. Must be available to respond to emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays. Procurement of supplies and materials purchased from vendors under state contract, as well as utilizing preferred sources as required. Obtain quotes for various projects and prepare purchase requisitions. Track supplies and materials to ensure they are used properly. Responsible for accurate and timely submission of weeklies. Responsible for accurate and timely submission of schedules and weekly work orders.

Additional Comments This is a temporary position with a duration of 4/1/16 - 11/30/16.

Work days and hours will be discussed at the interview. Work hours are generally 6:00am to 4:30pm.
