Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications are as follows:

• Must be a US Citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.

Preferred qualifications:
• Senior level college student or graduate level.
• Major in Business Administration.


• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year College or University (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students); or a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.
• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or equivalent to a C.

Duties Description The internship opportunity at the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS), Central Administration Office, Budget/Financial Management Unit will provide the selected applicant with exposure to the various functional activities of Unit for the summer of 2016. The selected intern will have the opportunity to provide support to the Director of this unit as well as other unit managers and professional staff in numerous day-to-day work assignments, such as:
• monitoring spending plans
• monitoring and analysis of Agency revenue and cash spending projections
• monitoring, analysis and approval of non-personal service (NPS) information technology (IT) spending requests
• monitoring personal services fill/allocation levels
• monitoring travel data
• reviewing Request to Fill (RTF) documents
• running reports/queries using the Statewide Financial System (SFS) and other analytical tools
• assisting with SFS Agency Security Administrator with SFS related assignments associated with the provisioning of users and processing of transactions
• documenting new or revised procedures and internal controls resulting from new business processes or SFS requirements

Additional Comments This Office of Information Technology Services position will be assigned to work within the Enterprise Business Solutions Division.
