Salary RangeFrom $41993 to $53606 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have:
1- Current certification as a NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
2- Current certification as a NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and one year of post-certification qualifying experience;
3- Three years of qualifying experience. An associate's degree (or higher) in an approved area may be substituted for two years of this experience.
Duties Description As an ASAP PA in a NYS Correctional Facility, you would provide ongoing treatment services to offenders with problems of alcohol and/or substance abuse. You would develop treatment findings and conclusions based on an admission and comprehensive evaluation; establish a substance abuse/dependence diagnostic impression; develop and implement a person-centered treatment plan for each assigned offender; continually evaluate and document the level and quality of participation and progression towards reasonably applied goals for each offender; and provide services to ensure successful treatment. You would be responsible for all mandatory treatment recording.
