70.1 Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive service in a clerical, secretarial or keyboarding title allocated to SG-10 or higher and meet transfer eligibility requirements.

Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for the review of documents submitted with applications to determine if the applicant meets the statutory qualifications to sell alcoholic beverages; if the location is zoned for the specified use and has all required permits; and if the applicant is in control of the proposed method of operation. Review financial documentation submitted with the application to determine if the funds indicated are legitimate and accountable. Research records to determine if the proposed location has prior license history. Conduct personal and telephone interviews with applicants to answer questions or obtain additional information needed to process the application. Respond to inquiries from customers. Prepare written correspondence to customers and their representatives detailing any deficiencies in the application. Prepare detailed reports listing all pertinent information necessary to present to Licensing Board and the Full Board in order to make reasonable determinations on the applications. Identify any school, church or synagogue within 200 feet of the proposed premises. Identify existing nearby licensed premises, noting if three or more licensees fall within 500 feet of the applicant’s premises. Conduct follow-up review of application and/or proposed premises to obtain additional information or clarification as requested by the Members of the Authority. Communicate with police jurisdictions regarding the soundness of applications and proposed locations. The incumbent would also be responsible for the supervision and training of the Licensing Services Clerks.
