Salary RangeFrom $44370 to $56567 Annually
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The candidate will work under the direction of a higher-level Engineering Geologist.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Performing geotechnical, geological and geophysical investigations to gain information on highway alignments, building and other structural sites, material sources, groundwater evaluations and other similar projects.
• Serving as a technical advisor on construction projects.
• Using computer-related techniques in engineering and geologic projects.
Responsibilities also may include participating within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
