Minimum Qualifications Individuals who have one year of permanent service as a Human Resources Specialist 2 OR who are eligible to transfer via Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title within two salary grades or one M grade of this position are eligible to apply. Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health, Bureau of Employee Relations, is currently recruiting to fill a Human Resources Specialist 2, Grade 23, position.
The Human Resources Specialist 2 will represent OMH at contractually required review meetings of grievances and disciplinary actions, and serve as the Agency advocate in all disciplinary arbitrations and other administrative hearings, including Section 72 hearings and those before the Time and Attendance Umpire. The incumbents may represent facilities at administrative hearings before other agencies such as the Public Employees Review Board (PERB) and the Workers’ Compensation Board. The position requires up to 30% over-night statewide travel.
